The man who says he’s been wrongly accused in the Tupac Shakur murder case is finally breaking his silence as the trial gets underway, and he’s got a lot to get off his chest.
As jury selection kicks off in the long-awaited murder trial, Reggie Wright Jr., the former head of security for Death Row Records, is speaking out. He says he’s ready for the truth to finally come to light.
For months, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the man on trial for Tupac’s death, has been pointing the finger directly at Reggie. According to court documents, Keefe D claims Reggie orchestrated the 1996 killing.
But Reggie, who is set to testify for the prosecution, is pushing back hard. In a new interview, he maintains he had nothing to do with the rapper’s murder and insists the trial will prove that.
“I think it’s going to debunk some theories and confirm some other things,” Reggie said, adding that he’s not worried about the speculation swirling around his name.
