Joseph Duggar Remains in Solitary as Jail Calls Reveal His Conversations With Kendra

New details have emerged about Joseph and Kendra Duggar following their arrests, including a recorded phone conversation in which the couple discussed Joseph’s conditions in jail and Kendra’s temporary living arrangements.

Joseph remains incarcerated following his March 18 arrest, while Kendra was released on bail shortly after turning herself in to authorities. A recording of one of their calls has now offered a glimpse into what the couple has been dealing with while separated.

He also acknowledged that sleeping through the night had been difficult.

The couple’s contact comes after Joseph’s arrest on allegations involving a 9-year-old girl during a family trip to Florida. He also faces child-related charges believed to involve his own children.

Kendra was arrested two days later on allegations including child endangerment and false imprisonment.

Kendra Says She’s Staying Somewhere “Very Private”

The conversation also revealed that Kendra was no longer staying at the family home.

During the call, she began discussing where she was living but appeared to remember that the conversation was being recorded. She stopped short of identifying the people or location involved.

Instead, she told Joseph that she had been taken somewhere safe and private.

According to the information cited in the original report, Kendra signed a no-contact order preventing her from communicating with her children until her scheduled court appearance on April 29.

That restriction would explain why she is currently separated from the children, although the precise details of her temporary living arrangement have not been publicly established.

Family Members Appear to Be Supporting Kendra

Kendra’s release was followed by assistance from members of the Duggar family.

Michelle Duggar reportedly picked Kendra up after she surrendered to authorities. The family has remained involved as Joseph and Kendra navigate their separate legal situations.

However, the exact identity of the people providing Kendra with her temporary residence has not been confirmed publicly.

The Couple Remains Separated as Their Cases Move Forward

For now, Joseph remains behind bars while Kendra is living away from the family home under the conditions of her release.
