Netflix is taking fans back to the most controversial season in F1 history—and this time, Michael Schumacher’s wife is opening up like never before. The streaming giant has officially confirmed a new documentary centered on the seven-time world champion’s breakthrough year.
Titled Schumacher ’94 – The Birth of a Legend, the film drops globally on October 2, 2026. It zeroes in on the turbulent 1994 Formula 1 season, when a 25-year-old Schumacher, driving for Benetton, clinched his very first world title.
Corinna Schumacher steps into the spotlight with personal stories about their early romance, the explosion of “Schumi mania,” and the emotional highs and lows of that unforgettable championship run. Since Michael’s devastating skiing accident in December 2013 left him with serious brain injuries, Corinna has fiercely guarded his privacy and legacy—making her participation here especially significant.
The 1994 season remains one of the most dramatic and tragic in motorsport.
