Hamilton could only manage a P7 finish in Saturday’s sprint race after a tough qualifying session. That let Kimi Antonelli stretch his lead by grabbing P4, pushing the gap to 53 points. Then Sunday’s main event brought more frustration, with Hamilton crossing the line in P4 while Antonelli took another step forward, extending his championship lead to a hefty 59 points.
Here is where the 𝒹𝓇𝒶𝓂𝒶 really amps up. George Russell is now tied with Hamilton for second place at 183 points, meaning the seven-time champion suddenly has company in the standings. Meanwhile, Lando Norris rocketed to victory on Sunday and sits fourth, trailing leader Antonelli by 83 points.
The full F1 drivers’ standings show Antonelli on top with 242 points, followed by Russell and Hamilton at 183, Norris at 159, and Charles Leclerc at 155. Max Verstappen is sixth with 112 points. Over in the constructors’ battle, Mercedes now leads Ferrari by 87 points, with 425 to 338.
