Kate and her three children stole the spotlight at King Charles III’s birthday celebration.
Kate appeared radiant alongside her three children at Trooping the Colour 2026, marking her prominent return after more than a year since announcing her cancer remission.

Kate, along with Prince William and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – became the center of attention at Trooping the Colour on June 13th in London, an event marking the official birthday of King Charles III.
The Welsh family was seen arriving at Buckingham Palace by car to prepare for the procession. William wore a military uniform, while Kate donned a pale blue and white Catherine Walker dress.

The Princess of Wales paired her blue outfit with a matching Philip Treacy hat, a Irish Guards Regiment badge, and pearl flower earrings.
Following tradition in recent years, Kate traveled in an Ascot Landau carriage with her children. She has attended almost every Trooping the Colour ceremony since marrying Prince William in 2011, except for 2020 and 2021 when the event was scaled back due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2024, Kate still attended despite undergoing cancer treatment and making limited appearances at royal events.

In early 2025, the Princess announced that her condition had improved. However, she admitted that the recovery period after treatment was “really difficult,” because even though she was no longer under the constant monitoring of the medical team, returning to normal life was not easy.
The Princess of Wales sat next to her youngest son, Prince Louis, 8 years old.
Meanwhile, Prince George, 12 years old, and Princess Charlotte, 11 years old, sat opposite them.

Louis smiled brightly and seriously, no longer displaying the mischievous demeanor of previous years.
Prince George is growing up to be 13 years old next month. According to British media, he is expected to attend Eton College, the boys’ school, following in the footsteps of his father and uncle.
Princess Charlotte wore a white dress and matching white bows. She turned 11 last month.
William wore a military uniform and rode a horse with the procession.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla rode in their own carriage. This is the fourth time the event has been held under King Charles III’s reign, but he has attended Trooping the Colour since he was three years old, during the reign of his maternal grandfather, King George VI. Although the king’s actual birthday falls in November, the official celebration is held in June, continuing a tradition dating back to the 18th century.
This year’s Trooping the Colour brought together over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. The parade started from Buckingham Palace, passed through St James’s Park to the Horse Guards Parade – where the main military parade took place – before returning to the palace for members of the royal family to watch the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic display from the balcony.
British citizens and tourists flocked to the palace to watch the ceremony.

The Trooping the Colour used to bring together more than 40 members of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. However, under King Charles III’s streamlined policy, only members of the royal family who work officially for the family appeared, along with the three children of the Welsh family.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, continued their long-term absence since stepping down as senior members of the royal family. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, daughters of former Prince Andrew, also did not attend this year’s event.
