Get ready for a thrilling ride as Jason Statham returns to the big screen in “The Beekeeper 2,” set to release on January 15, 2027. This highly anticipated sequel promises to deliver intense action and suspense, picking up right where the original left off three years ago.
At CinemaCon in April 2026, Statham unveiled an electrifying glimpse of the film, featuring a dramatic scene where a car crashes through a mansion’s garden gate, only to reveal a chilling twist inside. The shadowy figure of Adam Clay, portrayed by Statham, is ready to take matters into his own hands as chaos unfolds around him.
In this sequel, Adam Clay is once again embroiled in a high-stakes mission. The Beekeepers, an elite covert organization, have reportedly gone rogue, kidnapping the president and leaving Adam as the only hope for resolution. The plot thickens as he searches for a missing friend, with Wallace Westwild, played by Jeremy Irons, claiming he has no knowledge of their whereabouts.

The footage from CinemaCon showcased jaw-dropping moments, including a soldier armed with a flamethrower greeting Adam with a cryptic, “Welcome home.” Fans can also expect to see a car equipped with a turret, taking on an entire airstrip of soldiers, and, true to the franchise’s unique style, bees being used as a weapon in a locked room.

Timo Tjahjanto steps in as director, taking over from David Ayer, while Umer Allyne joins the team as the new screenwriter, succeeding Kurt Wimmer. The cast features returning favorites like Emmy Raver-Lampman, alongside newcomers Yara Shahidi, Pom Klementieff, and former WWE star Adam Copeland, adding fresh energy to the ensemble.

With Amazon MGM Studios acquiring the sequel for over $50 million, expectations are high. The original film was a surprise hit, grossing over $162 million worldwide and earning an impressive 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
As Adam Clay gears up to confront the chaos unleashed by the rogue Beekeepers, fans are left wondering: will he be able to save the president and uncover the truth behind his missing friend?
