The camera keeps glitching out. It just spins and spins and spins. It’s genuinely ugly how ugly this is being with me. The fish are starting to jump, I can hear them splashing everywhere.

We’re finally set up, the tent is up, the gear is out, and now we’re just waiting for the sturgeon to come back. I was explaining the tent rules to Flo. About how the association says the square footage is too big, so you’d need two tarps instead, which ends up being even bigger overall. It’s such a stupid rule.
If it doesn’t have a floor, is it even a tent? Apparently in Lower Saxony, even a tarp counts as a tent. It’s ridiculous. Then I noticed the line was loose.
I kept my eyes on the rod tip, watching it wobble. Flo said, “Don’t catch anything yet, I’m not ready. ” I told him if I catch one over 1. 80 meters, I’m going swimming.
He said that’s his rule, not mine. I told him if he catches one over 1. 80, he goes swimming too. He didn’t seem too thrilled about that.
I set up the camera on a 180-degree angle, pointing at the rod so when I get a bite, I just hit a button and it turns automatically. The tracking feature uses too much battery, so I disabled it. I tried to figure out why the camera wasn’t charging, tested it all at home and it worked fine, but out here it just won’t charge. The power bank is at 34 percent, so it’s not a disaster, but it’s annoying.
I told Markus not to sell these, they’re expensive power banks meant to act as internal batteries. Marv wandered over with his usual random stuff. He has a remote-controlled fan, a time machine apparently, and a knife he left in his sleeping bag. I asked him where he put it, he said he didn’t know, and it was lying right there on the ground.
I told him to leave it. He’s a different kind of guy, that one. He also said the toilet was ready, just needs toilet paper. I said I was innocent.
He said I might be guiltless, but definitely not innocent. Then someone asked if we were far away because they wanted to go fishing too. I said the spot isn’t that far away, but I didn’t want to say exactly where we are yet. Kevin works nearby, and if the business offered a discount or some kind of deal in exchange for promotion, that would be different.
But otherwise, I’d rather not say, because next thing you know, there’ll be special agents showing up. The sturgeon took off across the lake. I told Flo, “If you don’t catch anything, you have to drink hunger tea. ” He said absolutely not, the water is way too cold.
Then I got a package from the chat. I was excited to open it. I told Flo he could open it first, then I would. He said, “Strange things come out of you from the back.
”
I opened the package. There were raisins I plan to soak in whiskey and put on my yogurt tomorrow morning. One of the chat members said, “Your grandma is so cool. ” Then there were more gifts.
A T-shirt from Jenny and Stachel, it looks amazing, with the logo and a perch on it. Jenny has long hair, so it’s definitely her design, not Matze’s. I said it fits, and it’s good to have a fresh shirt for tomorrow. Then I got some lures, stickers, keychains, and a mug.
Someone in the chat wrote, “Flo gets a shirt and Flo gets underwear. ” I was excited to see what else was in there. The next thing that came out was a pack of diapers in large size. Then a sanitary pad.
Then another one. “Did you hit the jackpot? ” I asked. There were also incontinence pads in there.
I said, “Thanks for that, I can use those on the kayak, just squeeze it out. ” Then more lures, some beautiful colors, I’m looking forward to fishing those. One of the chat members wrote, “Can you try if the diapers fit? ” I said, “Of course we’ll do that, just for your information.
” I held up a penis-shaped item I had brought, and someone said, “He has everything with him, that has to be mentioned positively. ” Then there were more scent trees, very nice. Flo got a shirt with a middle finger from Berlin. I said, “You have Stachel and I have Jenny.
” Then I held up a mug with the logo. “This is definitely going in the car,” I said. I said, “People, I’ll do something in your favor. ” I was still shaking my head at the diapers and incontinence pads.
I said, “There’s some toilet paper at the bottom too. ” And then I just kept laughing at the absurd pile of stuff they sent.
