Josh Duggar has quietly disappeared from the federal prison where he had spent most of his sentence—and his unexpected transfer has sent the internet into overdrive.
After years at FCI Seagoville in Texas, the disgraced former 19 Kids and Counting star was suddenly moved to a federal medical facility, leaving critics scrambling to figure out what happened. With no official explanation from the Bureau of Prisons, theories are spreading fast.
Josh was transferred on May 29 from FCI Seagoville to Federal Medical Center Fort Worth, a facility that houses inmates requiring medical or specialized care.
His attorney, Beau Brindley, confirmed that neither he nor Josh’s family received advance notice of the move.
“The Bureau of Prisons does not provide advance notice of prisoner transfers for security reasons,” Brindley said, adding that his office was working to verify Josh’s condition.
