A woman is currently on the run in Arizona, wanted for her alleged involvement in a kidnapping incident that occurred alarmingly close to where Nancy Guthrie lived. This unsettling news comes just months after Nancy vanished from her Tucson home under mysterious circumstances.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has issued a wanted notice for 40-year-old Coral Michelle Smith, linking her to a kidnapping and aggravated assault case that reportedly took place on May 29, approximately seven miles from Nancy’s residence in the Catalina Foothills.
Smith’s criminal history is extensive, with court documents revealing a past conviction for robbery in 2020, which also included kidnapping and 𝒹𝓇𝓊𝑔 charges that were later dismissed. Her legal troubles date back to 2011, when she was first convicted of robbery, and she has faced various charges over the years, including criminal trespass and attempted vehicle theft.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities have not suggested any direct connection between Smith and the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared on February 1.
