In a moment of self-discovery after battling cancer and giving back to the community, Princess Kate, wife of Prince William of Wales, announced the completion of her “Three Peaks Challenge” over the weekend.
In just one day, the Princess conquered Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, and Snowdon – the three highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales.
She undertook the challenge alone, with the assistance of a mountain rescue team.
Upon completing the challenge, Princess Kate received a warm welcome and support from her husband and children, as well as her parents and younger brother.
Kate said her goal in climbing the UK’s highest peaks was to raise awareness of the importance of holistic care for cancer patients and to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which supports the hospital where she spent months receiving treatment.

In 2024, the British Royal Family announced that Princess Kate had been diagnosed with cancer, but did not disclose the specific type. By September of that year, she was confirmed to have completed her chemotherapy treatment and was in remission.
“Many people ask why I’m undertaking this challenge, and it’s partly for personal reasons. I’m incredibly grateful to be here, to have the stamina to walk these slopes,” she said in a recorded video.
“But more importantly, I want to give back and acknowledge the extraordinary efforts being made in this country,” she added.
