Bryan Kohberger used two different weapons to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 Kaylee Goncalves, according to a newly unsealed court filing obtained by People.

According to forensic criminologist Dr. Brent Tarvey, who reviewed the autopsy report for Kohberger’s defense team, the 21-year-old suffered two different kinds of wounds that led to her death in November 2022.

“At least two suspects were involved in this attack,” Tarvey wrote in the filing, which People reported on Friday, January 30. “This is indicated by the fact that multiple weapons were used against Kaylee; that multiple types of lethal force were used against Kaylee.”

In their response, prosecutors pointed out that “a single perpetrator can certainly use more than one weapon and can use multiple types of lethal force.”

Last July, Kohberger pleaded guilty to killing Goncalves, 21, along with her friends Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, in a deal to avoid the death penalty.

As the National Enquirer previously reported, the wounds on Goncalves and Kernodle were so violent, their surviving roommate initially misidentified their bodies.

Goncalves’ sister, Alivea, mentioned the use of a second weapon at the time of Kohberger’s sentencing.

“There’s really no easy way to say this but some of the wounds that were made to Kaylee were described as ‘experimental,’” Alivea revealed in a TikTok video in October.

“I don’t want to speculate on, you know, what exactly he was doing, whether it was to just cause pain or whatnot,” she added, but “these wounds didn’t necessarily make a lot of sense.”

The criminology grad student, 31, never revealed his motive. He is currently serving four consecutive life sentences at Idaho Maximum Security Institution.
