STRICTLY Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba’s son has been forced to leave his private school mid-term amid the family’s recent financial turmoil.
The eight-year-old has been attending private school but has had to leave after his parents sold their family home and Ore admitted to spending thousands of pounds at the height of his porn addiction.
Ore, 40, and wife Portia, 36, confirmed their separation in 2024 after nine years of marriage but have continued to co-parent their son, Roman, since.
This week, the young lad began attending a brand new school but Portia admitted he’s gotten “really upset” on his first day.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Portia shared a snap of her hugging her son and said: “Just dropped him off. He got really upset.
“God as a parent nothing prepares you for holding it together, smiling, being strong, supportive and saying all the right things whilst all you want to do is cry too.
“I know it’s just first day nerves and, of course, anything new is scary… but I know he has got this.”
Portia also shared a post to Instagram about her son switching schools in which she wrote: “I haven’t got this, but you have.
“First day at a new school and I couldn’t be prouder of how he’s handled all the changes.
“Let’s do this.”
Portia revealed that following his first day at school, she had spoken to his teachers who said that “he was a little shy but made friends and did really well”.
Ore and Portia, who also share a four-year-old daughter, sold their family home after their split – a move that she revealed left her children devastated.
The family’s money woes come after Ore opened up on blowing thousands of pounds on his 30-year-long porn addiction.
In an interview, Ore revealed that his porn addiction began at the age of nine after he was shown an adult image.
Revealing his addiction following his marriage split, Ore said: “I’ve spent thousands on pornography.”
Despite feeling “ashamed” of himself, Ore said he found it hard to remove himself from these apps – which can often cost the same as gambling sites.
“It’s a very easy process to get in, but it’s very difficult [to get out]. You have to go back into that world to remove it (your credit card),” Ore told the Daily Mail.
“There were some places where you had to email your name and write a message, and I’ve got a public profile.
“The idea of me emailing in saying I’d like to leave, but now you’ve got my information, my details… you have my email address, you have my name.
“There was massive shame, because if I wanted to remove myself, I had to shine a light on the person that I was. And you don’t want to bring that to light.”
