Dwight Howard is speaking out about his turbulent marriage, claiming in a new interview that his ex-wife Amber Rose Howard allegedly “tricked him into marriage” during what he describes as a fast-moving and unstable relationship.

The former NBA star says the situation escalated quickly after the couple tied the knot in early 2025, and what he believed was a committed relationship later turned into a string of conflicts, legal disputes, and public accusations.
According to Howard, the marriage began to fall apart just months after the wedding, with tensions building over financial issues, trust problems, and repeated disagreements that eventually led both parties to file for divorce. Court filings show the relationship officially broke down in 2026 after a series of highly publicized domestic incidents.
The couple’s relationship has been marked by multiple police calls, accusations from both sides, and disputes over money and property, including claims involving missing items and access to their shared home. Howard has repeatedly denied some of the more serious allegations made against him during the split.
Despite the ongoing tension, both Howard and his ex-wife have continued to trade claims through interviews and social media, keeping the breakup in the spotlight well after the initial separation.
Howard, who last played in the NBA in 2022 and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2025, has since shifted focus toward family life and business ventures while his personal life continues to unfold publicly.
