The mother of late actor Matthew Perry is publicly sharing her heartbreak after new court documents revealed disturbing details surrounding the actor’s final days.

Suzanne Morrison, Perry’s mother, submitted a powerful victim impact statement ahead of the sentencing of Kenneth Iwamasa — Perry’s former personal assistant — who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine in connection with the actor’s death.

According to prosecutors, Iwamasa repeatedly injected Perry with ketamine despite having no medical training. Authorities allege the assistant administered several injections on the day Perry died in October 2023.

In her emotional statement, Morrison said her family believed Iwamasa understood Perry’s long struggle with addiction and trusted him to protect the beloved actor during vulnerable moments in his recovery journey.

“But instead of protecting Matthew, he aided and abetted illegal drug taking,” Morrison wrote, accusing the assistant of helping arrange sources for ketamine and repeatedly injecting her son even when the dangers were obvious.

The heartbreaking letter also described the devastating moment Perry’s family learned he had died. Morrison recalled seeing helicopters circling above her son’s home while media outlets rushed to capture images from the scene.

“And then one night he was just a body,” she wrote, expressing the unimaginable grief she continues to carry following the loss of her son.

Authorities say Perry died from the acute effects of ketamine after being found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. Multiple individuals have since faced charges connected to the case, including doctors and alleged suppliers.
