The brother of Baton Rouge rapper, NBA YoungBoy, was arrested in Houston after being accused of aggravated assault.

According to police records, the Houston Police Department responded to a report of assault on April 17. Upon arrival, officers learned that a woman and Kendell Gaulden, 22, were drinking when Gaulden asked to borrow the woman’s car to pick up another woman. The woman denied, and Gaulden reportedly became upset.

The woman later said that Gaulden somehow grabbed her keys and left the house in a different vehicle, still in possession of her keys.

When Gaulden returned, he began arguing with multiple people present, the police report states. The woman added that Gaulden told her boyfriend that he needed “to control his girlfriend” and threatened to shoot her after calling the police.

The woman told police that Gaulden reportedly hit her with a gun on the side of her face and that she would like to press charges.

The woman’s boyfriend saw her get struck by Gaulden, and the two began fighting. The woman claims Gaulden pulled the trigger, but the gun clicked as the magazine was on the floor. According to the report, Gaulden fled the home with one of the woman’s friends.

Gaulden was arrested and booked on a charge of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $500,000, jail records show.
